    Lab-Box allows you to do film loading in the daylight, without risking film exposure.

    Universal, allows you to insert the
    film into the reel in the correct way
    without coming out of the guides.
    It widens and narrows to fit to the 
    width of the film 35 or 120.
    135 Reel
    Composed of the left and right coil,
    a central hub and a steel clip for
    attaching the film. Removable to be
    washed. Designed with side fins for
    proper mixing of the chemistry
    during agitation.
    135 Module
    For loading 35mm films safely
    from light. It has an internal steel
    blade for cut the film. The blade is
    activated with a rear lever.

    Kickstarter and history of the Lab-Box

    Lab-Box is presented in 2017 on the Kickstarter platform. The funds requested to start our project were €70,000.00.

    By the end of the campaign €700,000.00 was raised. The campaign was followed by thousands of people from all over the world, and in 2009 the first production of the Lab-Box of 8000 total pieces is completed.

    Since then, demand for the Lab-Box has remained continuous, it is sold and distributed on an international scale, and many photography enthusiasts continue to use it. It has contributed to the spread of film development significantly.

    The fourth 2024 production has just finished, and we are already planning the next one in 2025, along with a series of darkroom accessories that will be coming to market soon.

    Lab-box is a modular daylight tank, for developing 35mm or 120 roll film. It allows film to be loaded into the spiral in daylight, without the need to go to a darkroom or use a changing bag (portable darkroom).

    All components for 35mm film development are included in the box: module 135, development tank, cap, complete 135 spiral, film guide, stirring knob.*For 120 film development, module 120 complete with spiral can be purchased separately.

    • Professional Lid cap, with built-in timer and thermometer. Allows control of temperature and time as the developing process unfolds. Very useful in developing color film.  It is used by replacing the standard cap with the ProLid cap.

    • Crank: crank for continuous agitation, allows smoother agitation without interruption for a more uniform development result, especially recommended for film 120 development.

    • Film retriever: essential for pulling the film tail off the spool and loading it into the Lab-Box. Made of metal, durable, small and handy.

    • Lab-Mat: non-slip and anti-drop silicone mat. It can be placed under the Lab-Box during development to hold it firmly in place during agitation. Thanks to the raised anti-drop edge and the waterproof and washable silicone material, it protects the work surface from chemical drips.

    • Digital thermometer: with its large, bright display and very thin probe, it allows temperature control even during treatment.
